Apply the online SMC 15Minute Market Update |

- Here are 7 SHORT (approx. 5 minutes each) videos designed to introduce the 15Minute Market Update to you. Please review these videos so that you have a clear understanding of the usefulness of this tool.

- Read through each entire 15Minute Market Update when released. Our releases are late afternoon Pacific Standard Time, so it may be most suitable to read Monday’s edition on Tuesday, Wednesday’s edition on Thursday’s, Friday’s edition on Saturday or on Monday – depending on your own study schedule. The 15Minute Market Update is always archived, so that if you miss a day you can always go back and find it easily.

- From each update write down 10 words that you don’t understand in your Investing Notebook. Then, go to Wikipedia.com to look up definitions, and write them by hand in your notebook.
|
- Use your dedicated, investment notebook for these entries.
|

- Now, take your SMC Successful Investing Routine “A” page and as you read the 15Minute Market Update, follow the steps from Routine “A” and do them.

|
- List in your Investing Notebook companies that are mentioned that get your attention.
|

- Apply your SMC S.I.M.P.L.E. Investing Method Steps to the companies that get your attention.

- Develop a practice of printing out charts that interest you. Learn from SMC short videos to draw key support and resistance lines and to identify key patterns that lead to predictable share price appreciation or decline.

Stock Market Companion Successful Investing Quizzes |

- SMC Successful Investing Quizzes are user-friendly, online (paperless), multiple choice question quizzes . Each quiz is built around certain key themes. For example, “Quiz 3” introduces the daily chart of the S&P 500 and concepts on how investors use it as a tool.
|
|
|
- Each quiz has generally 5 – 10 questions and is designed to be completed within 30  minutes or less – depending on the student. You may complete these quizzes very quickly. Others may take longer.
|
|
|
- On completion of each quiz, the quiz is automatically graded and scored. We recommend that you re-take each quiz until a score of 100% is achieved. This can occur in one session or after a break or pause.
|
|
|
- Take a Stock Market Companion Successful Investing Quiz, 1 per week. You may want to start with the latest quiz and begin moving sequentially backwards in quiz number. The quizzes contain timeless materials related to fundamentals and the science of investing, but the newer quizzes may hold content that relate to some of the material contained in more recent 15Minute Market Update content.

Build Your Watchlist |
|
|
- Use the SMC Watchlist from the 15Minute Market Update as a guide for you to build your own Watchlist.
|
|
|
- Print-out your watchlist 1x/week and put it in your Investing Watchlist Binder – This will encourage you to update it and keep it fresh with ideas. Weed out the old ideas from time to time that are no longer relevant. By then, the Watchlist maintenance routine that you have will have done its job to put that stock in your mind and you will from time to time probably find an opportunity to keep an eye on it.

Review and Print-out Charts |
|
|
- When you have built your own watchlist of individual company stocks and ETF’s, you will want to look at a daily chart of each company on your watchlist – each day that you do your investing work.
You will learn to see patterns and trends as successful investors do and begin to understand patterns that often lead to higher share prices, and you will learn patterns that precede lower share prices.
|
|
|
- There will be certain charts that you want to print-out, because the price pattern developing is indicating – combined with your application of our S.I.M.P.L.E. Stock Investing Method – a possible excellent investment. Go ahead and print-out such charts and write as much as you can on the chart to identify the reasons behind the suitability of such an investment – based on your application of the S.I.M.P.L.E. method (that you have spelled out in your investment notebook).

Make Your Investment Decision! (on Paper first, not with real money) |
|

- When your application of the S.I.M.P.L.E. Stock Investing Method has indicated a suitable investment or sale of an existing investment, learn to take the next step = MAKE YOUR INVESTMENT DECISION (and use “paper trading” first).
|
|
|
- Paper-trading is – in many ways – the same as using real money, except you don’t purchase real shares at a brokerage company! We recognize that the emotional component of having real money on the line is however missing – but for learning the process of investing – you do not need this component.Millions of people have made the mistake of putting money to work when they do not understand what they are doing. Better is to simulate investments and to learn from your mistakes, before putting real, hard earned money at risk.You have your analysis complete using our S.I.M.P.L.E. Stock Investing Method in your Investing Notebook, you’ve printed out a chart and indicated the price pattern and behavior that is validating an investment at this time, and you log your investment in your Investment Log. It’s that simple.
